Vacation

Murphy USA believes in providing an optimal work-life balance to its employees. That starts by rewarding all the time our hardworking employees put in with paid time off. Vacation time at Murphy USA is based on hours worked. 

  • Assistant Managers receive 40 hours of paid vacation after one year of continuous service. Additionally they are eligible for 2 weeks of paid vacation after 3 years of service and 3 weeks of paid vacation after 5 years of service.
  • Cashiers earn paid vacation after one year of continuous service. You are also eligible for paid vacation between your first anniversary date and the end of that calendar year. After that, the vacation period begins and ends with the calendar year.

The District Manager in Training (DMiT) Program offers a rewarding and challenging career path in a leadership role with a Fortune 200 company. After completing this program, you will have the critical skills for multi-unit management with Murphy USA.

  • Management Training (5 weeks): Work directly with a Certified Training Manager to learn store operations firsthand.
  • Store Management (12-18 months): In-depth training and knowledge of how to manage an individual location, as well as important management and interpersonal skills. Upon completion of the store assignment, you will travel to our Corporate Office for specific departmental training.
  • District Manager Training (4 weeks): Intensive training curriculum alongside an experienced District Manager. This final phase will prepare you for the challenges of running your own district.

Medical

You are eligible for coverage on the first day of employment with the Company. The Company’s self-insured Medical Plan covers illness, accidents and hospitalization. The pre-tax premium is shared by Murphy USA and you. Medical (PPO) Plan benefits Include: 

  • $350 deductible per person per year
  • 80% reimbursement in-network and out-of-network
  • 60% reimbursement out-of-network
  • $2,500 out of pocket maximum per person per year (in-network and out-of-network); $4,500 per person per year (out-of-network)
  • Prescription drugs after co-pay
  • Certain preventative care covered at 100% (in-network or out-of-network provider); deductible waived

Dental

You are eligible for coverage on the first day of employment with the Company. Dental coverage includes preventive care, basic care, major care, and orthodontia. The pre-tax premium is shared by Murphy USA and you. Dental Plan Benefits include a $50 deductible per person per year with a $2,000 calendar-year maximum. The benefits for each type of care are as follows:

  • Preventive: 100% with no deductible
  • Basic: 80% after deductible
  • Major: 50% after deductible
  • Orthodontia: 50% deductible waived; $1,500 lifetime maximum

Vision

You are eligible for coverage on the first day of month following the date of hire. The Vision Plan covers:

  • An eye exam every 12 months after co-pay
  • Full coverage of lenses every 12 months and frames up to $150 every 24 months after co-pay
  • In lieu of the frame allowance, a $150 allowance can be granted for contact lenses every 12 months
  • Eye exams are subject to a $10 co-pay
  • Prescription glasses require a $25 co-pay
  • The co-pay is waived for contact lens exams and fittings
  • Discounts are available for some out-of-pocket expenses
  • Above co-pay and coverage options apply to VSP providers
  • The pretax premium is paid by you
